I have always been a collector, it began with my Caboodles and Little Miss Pet Shop collections as a child and gradually grew in to full blown vintage ‘hoarding’ status as an adult. My mother and I are known as ‘Vintage Hoarders Extraordinaire’. When we started our vintage rentals company The Southern Soirée, we were convinced that we were too organized and systematic to be considered hoarders. That was until I was watching that all too famous show earlier last week and this particular episode featured a woman who meticulously organized her colossal hoard of collections in neatly stacked & labeled plastic boxes. Each time I hear the doorbell ring, I now fear that the producers of ‘Hoarders’ have now come a knockin’.
In the meantime, before my Hoarders episode airs, here’s a sneak peek in to my collection of recent acquisitions.
